Registration
II. Registration As fun and exciting as anime conventions are, they can also be very expensive. Most anime conventions are a 3 day affair. Usually they go from Friday to Sunday. If you're only going for a single day, you can buy a ticket at the con. It shouldn’t cost you too much. But if you plan to attend a con for all three days, you should always go to the website of the convention and pre-register. This will save you money, so you can spend it on other things. Better things like artwork, plushies, games, food and friends. =) More info about pre-registering: The Process Okay, all conventions have their own way of doing pre-registration but I will walk you through the way that my favourite con Anime North does theirs. 1. First I go to their website: www.animenorth.com 2. Then I go to registration. There I look for important information, like what date pre-registering begins and the deadline for pre-registration. 3. After I carefully read the instructions, I order my ticket, and pay online or send a check by mail. 4. After my registration form is received, they send me a confirmation form by email or letter. I print out a copy and bring it to the Registration Desk when I go to the convention and voila! They give me my pass! =] Pretty easy and I just saved me moneh. AWW SHMYEAH. p.s. In some conventions, if you pre-registration with a group (group registration) you can get even more discounts off your passes. But check the website first to see how many people you need for this discount. ex. for Anime North you need 10 people. New Definition Pre-registration (Slang. pre-reg) – To order your anime convention weekend pass before the day of the con. Usually this is done online, or by mail. It saves you money and I highly recommend it if you plan to go to a convention for all 3 days. But if you only go for one day, a one-day pass is cheaper.
