Vampire Knight

Vampire Knight centers around Yuki Cross, a school girl whose earliest memory is of a snowy winter night, when she was attacked by a vampire . . . then saved by another, Kaname Kuran. The story takes place 10 years after that night. Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of Cross Academy’s Headmaster, Cross Kaien, has become a prefect for the school. Cross Academy’s main purpose is to protect the Human Day Class Students and the Vampire Night Class Students from one another. Zero Kiryu, her childhood friend and fellow guardian, is very determined to kill all vampires after his own parents were murdered by a vampire. The irony, however, is that Zero is became a vampire himself, having been bitten four years prior by a pureblood, Shizuka Hio. Kaname is the leader and President of the Night class, with the assistance of Vice-president, Takuma Ichijo.
